Event Overview

February 13 will play host to one of the “must-attend” events of the 2016 Brisbane calendar – Valentines Ball. Raising much needed funds for Variety – the Children’s Charity of Queensland, this spectacular “Gatsby” themed evening will be held at the Tattersalls Club, a venue like no other.

MC for the event, the amazing Sofie Formica, will lead you on your Valentine’s Gatsby adventure, along with celebrity auctioneer Andrew Morello (the first Australian Apprentice and Head of Business Development at Mark Bouris’ Yellow Brick Road Wealth Management), it’s going to be an unforgettable night.

With a 4-piece 1920’s swing band, dance-floor, roving performers, ‘magical’ guests, a photo booth, prize wheels, ladies touch-up stand, roving photographers, a monster raffle, lucky door prizes, as well as prizes for best dressed male and female in a ‘Fashions of the Night’ parade, there will be non-stop excitement ALL evening. The menu will include canapés on arrival, cocktail-style main meals, a dessert buffet, and a four-hour beer and wine package.

The underlying theme of the event is “Unforgettable Experiences” with the main feature for the night being the “Unforgettable Experiences Auction”. We will be auctioning truly unique experiences that can’t normally be purchased, and will never be forgotten, thereby creating memories that will last a lifetime … just as the children that Variety supports will never forget the experiences and help they receive from our efforts.
